Bio - Meet Randy Demmer


Randy has been married to his wife Kathy (Kyllo) for 29 years and they are both lifelong residents of Hayfield. Their oldest daughter, Lauren, attends law school while Ann is an elementary school teacher and Margeaux is a college sophomore.
Randy has a Bachelors of Agricultural Business Administration from the University of Minnesota. He has owned and managed a corn and soybean farm for 17 years along with being a 24 year owner of three NAPA Auto Parts stores, Hayfield, Kasson and Dodge Center. He started an accounting software and computer consulting business, Computer Edge, which he operated for 23 years.

Randy served on the District #203 School Board for 11 years and Hayfield's EDA for 10 years along with Hayfield's Senior Housing Task Force, Dodge Center Ice Arena Joint Powers Board, Trinity Lutheran Church Council, and the boards of the Dodge County Corn Growers, Hayfield Area Chamber of Commerce, Hayfield's Lion's Club, and the Rochester Library Foundation.

Randy has served three terms as District 29A's State Representative and is looking forward to serving a fourth. He has thoroughly enjoyed serving the district for many reasons: Being a watchdog for his constituents, helping individuals with a state related issues, helping to craft needed legislation or just listening to people's concerns.

He has developed close working relationships with other legislators on both sides of the aisle. He has traveled with them to their districts and has brought them to ours.

These relationships will help him be an even more effective voice for this area in Minnesota's state government.
